Is there a device manager for gentoo?

I was just wondering, not that I really need it( I can get most of the specs from lspci, /proc,etc..), is there a kind of device manager (like in windows) for linux?

I saw it once on a screenshot and it looked fun to install this . It's just something to keep me busy.

I know of several GUIs that will show information about installed hardware, there are more, I'm sure.

GNOME: hal-device-manager

KDE: kinfocenter, part of kcontrol I believe
