Col nuovo portage (2.1) ho visto che effettuando queste modifiche non viene fatta la rigenerazione della cache.
Non ho ancora capito però se non è più necessaria, oppure va fatta a parte in un altro modo

io lo uso da un bel po'. non smebra malaccio
il sync è molto più veloce. ma il calcolo delle dipendenze è molto lungo. lunghissimo. luuuungo. pallosissimo. |

E' un po che ci bado, e OGNI giorno esce una nuova rc... Che balle!!!
Cmq è molto è veloce con la cache, per le dipenze non ho notato nulla.

il calcolo delle dipendenze ho notato essere molto lungo su sistemi con molta roba in testing. ho un paio di pc con quasi tutta roba stabile (tranne xorg 7.0 e quindi portage) e non noto alcun peggioramento delle performance. invece sulla mia partizione mezza fottuta di prova ci mette una vita e mezza. |

Con l'ultima versione che esce un giorno si e uno si, e tutto il sistema in ~x86, mi pare il solito legno...
