login as a normal user granted with {users,wheel,dialup}, I failed to open up the firefox window in fvwm.
but it's no problem as root user. Anyone can help? |

any error messages ?
have you tried opening firefox from a terminal ?
also, have you tried removing (or renaming) your preferences and then restarting ? _________________ All reality is the construct of the observer.

Yes,I have tried this. deleted the ~/.mozilla,but it didn't work.
I also tried to run /usr/bin/firefox in the terminal.
as root ,everything is ok and a firefox window appeared immediatly.
as a normal user, it showed nothing but ps could see a firefox-bin process running.
and strace /usr/bin/firefox, got the result that it stop at
waitpid(-1,
which is passed in root user
waitpid(-1,-xbfcdedb8,WNOHANG) = -1 ECHILD (No child processes)
can you get a clue from all this? what's the problem and what should I do?
