i've read the gentoo printing docs about this but i can't get it to work.
I want to print to an win2k workstation. I tried the following ...

# foomatic-configure -s cups -p 60960 -c smb://snapcase:snapcase@192.168.0.4/deskjet6 -n deskjet -d hpijs

this wont work, instead i get a error ...

Quote:

lpadmin: add-printer (set device) failed: client-error-not-possible
Could not set up/change the queue "deskjet"!

Running smbclient with the "-L" options gives the following output about the printer.
