I am trying to get framebuffer at a decent resolution on a laptop, which has native X resolution of 1440x900. I can only seem to find mode numbers for screens up to 1280x1024. Does anyone know what mode number I need, or where I can find this information? Thanks. _________________ no matter how you legislate, information wants to be free. |

looks like the vbetest utility is part of sys-libs/lrmi. It didnt print any output on my laptop, which has an ATI card. But it did work on another computer I have which has onboard graphics.
Code: | # vbetest
