|

Hello all,
For a personal project of mine - a family tree - I'm looking to create something similar to what SciFi.com had on their website for the latest Dune miniseries.
I first thought of doing something in flash - but all I saw for swf creation under linux was XML based that was then converted into swf.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
It doesn't need to be in flash, it was just my first impulse - I'd like to get this done fairly quickly.
I found out about the XML based ones from searching on this formum and google. (Cocoon, Batik, and Saxess Wave).
Thanks in advance for any info/ideas.

For my flash authoring I use VMWare running with Windows 2000. Of course, that is the only program that I install after windows, with the exception of VMWare tools. |

Flash is proprietary. Why not to use SVG?
Well, nothing better than Emacs for SVG (as XML) authoring, however, you can generate SVG (again as it's XML) under almost every web-server. |
