Has anyone had success getting their DeltaChrome graphics working in X with anything other than the generic VESA driver? |

Oops, I read Unichrome although it obviously said Deltachrome. My mistake. |

No problem.
As I said before, I'm trying to work through the source code of VIA's official release right now.
I imagine that I can get some functionality out of the Openchrome drivers with a bit of modification, as I assume that the DeltaChrome/K8M890 isn't that far away from the UniChrome/K8M800, at least on the 2D side.
Though....you know what happens when you assume.... |

I looked at the source download for the driver and it looks like it would take a fair amount of work to clean it up to merge into Gentoo/portage.
Unless you are on a RPM based system it isn't real clear and the source refers to a non-modular X setup also.
I'll play with it a little and see if I can make anything of it. |

Yeah, it seems that they don't have the most clean coding practices.
I'm taking the approach of trying to work what they're doing into the OpenChrome framework, but I'm not familliar with either to have high hopes. |
