I used etc-update to modify one of my files, and now my numPad isn't working anymore... the bad part is that I don't remember the name of that specific file, and I would like my numpad back... any ideeas ?

Ummm, do you mean that the numlock no longer comes on when you reboot, or your numpad just doesn't work at all?

If you're talking about the numlock in a console, just do a:
Code:
rc-update add numlock default

and that will take care of numlocks. I forgot how to turn them on in KDE and/or Gnome.

Not sure what to say if the numpad just doesn't work anymore

The numlock button works, I can see the LED turning on and off... the entire numpad is not working, all except the NumLock button and the return button... As I said, I remember editing a file while running etc-update which said something about this... I believe that is when I screwd it up... :(
