Sorry wenn ich nochmal dumm fragen muss:
Wie finde ich heraus was ich emergen muss wenn ich ein bestimmtes Programm haben möchte?
Beispiel:
Ich möchte 'mt' installieren. Über Portage File Search finde ich folgende Einträge:

bekomme ich die Fehlermeldung

|
WTF ist ein package atom?
Gleiches Ergebnis mit app-arch/mt-st-0.7-r1

Und wo lernt man das, daß das ohne Version sein muss... ? Na egal, nu geht's. Danke. Irgendwann komme ich schon noch dahinter.

Das lernt man wenn man mit Portage umgehn lernt.
Es gibt da so einige Tipps und Tricks.
Man kann natürlich schon eine bestimmte Version installieren, dafür gibt es verschiedene Wege.
Aber da Portage eine Verwaltung hat für Versionen die stabil/testing/unstable sind, bekommt man bei einer Installation ohne Versionsangabe immer die aktuellste Stabile Version.
