Hallo,
ich habe den Eindruck, dass mein hotplug nicht richtig funktioniert. Leider habe ich keine Idee, wo ich zuerst ansetzen soll.
Z.B. ich stecke meinen Kartenleser an, er wird erkannt:

Sonst passiert nichts weiter. Lade ich das zugehörige Modul, wird das Device angelegt und ich kann ihn benutzen.

Nun kann ich ihn in jedem Port an und abstecken, er funktioniert bis zu Reboot.
Dasselbe Problem tritt auch bei anderen Geräten (Bluetooth, USB-Stick, PCMCIA-TV-Karte,..) auf so dass ich das Problem schon bei hotplug und nicht beim Gerät selber vermute.
Wo kann ich ansetzen? Welche Infos werden noch benötigt?

Schau doch mal, ob folgende Programme auf dem neuesten Stand sind:
kernel (kerneloption automounter aktiviert?)
udev
hotplug
baselayout

Danke erstmal für den Ansatz.
Also ich versuche soweit wie möglich ein stable System zu verwenden. Hier mal die installierten Versionen:
udev 078
sys-apps/hotplug 20040923-r2
sys-apps/hotplug-base 20040401
sys-apps/baselayout 1.11.14-r8
kernel
lightno-sources-2.6.16-r1 <- momentan der einzige Kernel, bei dem suspend2 funktioniert.
kernelautomounter sind jeweils als Module compiliert, habe ich aber noch nie verwendet, da ich kein Autofs nutze.
