Do the CDs/ISO images auto-install on boot with x86 systems?

I would like to download the ISO Gentoo image and burn it on a CD, but I was wondering what I do after I burn it on a CD? Does it auto-install on boot like some bootable CDs?

Your system will boot from the CD, but it won't automatically install anything. For installation you have to either use the provided gentoo installer (it's an application on the CD) or follow the Gentoo Handbook.
