dir recovery on ext3

is there a way to recover a directory on an ext3 partioton? i was cleaning up my server and ran rm -r /home/blah and i need that dir back mainly because of the gallery that was in it...700+ images...any help would be appreciated...

its a seperate partiton from the rest of the system if it helps

i know the chances are slim but what can i try without damage to the rest of the system

ran fsck.e2fs -c and -p on the unmounted partition and nothing came back in the lost+found dir so i guess im giving up on it...still let me know anything i can try
