The fonts in Firefox this morning are messed up a bit. When I view certain pages (Gmail for example, Audiworld Forums) the text is there but it looks like someone took an airbrush tool in GIMP and went over it. That's the best way I can describe, view the pic.
Clicky
That's the menu... When I mouseover the text, or highlight text on a page, the text goes to normal.
Gentoo Forums are not affected it seems. Any ideas what is up? I'm going to try a reboot right now.
Edit: The reboot didn't work.
Also, I'm using KDE 3.5.2, Firefox 1.5 from portage (I used keyword x86 to get this). I've been using this version for months, and never had problems. _________________ me |

Check the fonts setting in firefox. Maybe something got changed or otherwise there is a problem with the inital fonts? (you can also try re-emerging) |

Ok, I am re-emerging firefox... but I've also noticed a few other apps that are having issues.
I changed my Font settings in the Control Center under KDE, but the fonts that are messed up aren't really affected by that I think. They are applicaiton specific. No idea what's causing this... _________________ me |

I looked into this, but I believe that is only xorg-server related... and apparently I use a monolithic install.
I noticed this cropped up in GAIM as well as Firefox, but those are the only 2 programs that seem to have this issue. Any other ideas what could cause this? I haven't found anything.
Edit:
Pretty sure I fixed it... I had un-checked the "Use Anti-aliased fonts" in the KDE Control Center...
I re-checked that and everything is fine. _________________ me |
