|

I'm using the following packages together:
www-client/mozilla-firefox-bin-1.5.0.3
x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10-r11
x11-libs/gtk+-2.8.12
x11-libs/pango-1.10.3
x11-libs/qt-3.3.4-r8
x11-themes/gtk-engines-qt-0.6-r2
along with KDE 3.5.2.
I've noticed that with the gtk-qt theming engine, my fonts in Firefox's UI match up with KDE. However, the look and feel of UI elements like tabs, scrollbars, etc. is not like my Qt/KDE applications even though I do have "Use my KDE style in GTK applications" selected in the KControl applet.
Is this normal, or is there something I can do to to get the appearance style of such Firefox UI elements to match that of KDE? |

As far as I know, this is normal. The qt/gtk integration is far from seamless with that engine. |

You could look for a firefox theme (like plastikfox) that is similiar to yours in kde.
EDIT. Remembered something, do you have a .gtkrc-2.0 file in your home diretory? If not create one with gtk-chtheme.
And isn't firefox not exactly a gtk application (XUL ?), but I am very unsure there...
Bye, Val. |
