Dont know about aoss, but you lack /dev/dsp and that comes from oss support. I use the alsa-driver and not the kernel modules. You just need to emerge them with "oss" USE flag enabled.
If you use the kernel drivers for sound, you either just have to enable these, or you might have to enable oss in general, not sure:
Code: |
< > Sequencer support (NEW)
< > OSS Mixer API (NEW)
< > OSS PCM (digital audio) API (NEW) |
Run a search through the forums, there are tons of posts on your problem if you still can't get it going.

here's what my kernel looks like:
Code: |
<*> Advanced Linux Sound Architecture │ │
│ │ <*> Sequencer support │ │
│ │ < > Sequencer dummy client │ │
│ │ <*> OSS Mixer API │ │
│ │ <*> OSS PCM (digital audio) API │ │
│ │ [*] OSS Sequencer API
|
hmm... looks like oss's already there? |
