Hi!
I'm trying to boot a machine from the minimal installation cd. I usually just insert the CD and the magick happens, but this time is different...
It starts up by loading the Gentoo kernel etc., but eventually it says:
Code: | No bootable medium found. Waiting for new device.
...
Could not find CD to boot, something else needed!
mount: mounting /newroot/dev on /dev failed: No such file or directory
...
!! The root block device is unspecified or not detected.
Please specify a device for boot, or "shell" for a shell... |
I am booting from an external USB cd drive.
How can this be solved?
Thanks in advance. |
