Hi,

i am trying to get Skype to work but having issues with the sound. If I connect to 'echo123' I can hear fine, but it will not record anything. The sound device is set to /dev/dsp. The card I am using is below :-

0a:09.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Audigy (rev 04)
Subsystem: Creative Labs SB Audigy 2 ZS (SB0350)
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 233
I/O ports at 3400 [size=64]
Capabilities: [dc] Power Management version 2

I have played around in AlsaMixer with the capture settings but still no joy. Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

Recently I had exactly the same problem.

This is my thread:
one more microphone not working

I was looking around the web then and finally found several information. First of all are you able to use some recording software to record from your mic?
On my system when I run alsamixer I have two devices enabled to capture.

Mic and Capture (toggle them with space), also Mic is unmuted in my case (toggle with m). Finally I also have the volume sett to 100 on both devices
