|
|
Hi,
I have an Acer 5024WLMi laptop with an AMD64 Turion processor. In /proc/acpi/thermal_zone I have three directories and also three corresponding temperatures. The directories are: TZS0, TZS1, TZSV. I think that TZS0 is my cpu because it increases consistently when the cpu is at 100% load and decreases when doing nothing. But I'm uncertain about the two other measured temperatures. Anyone who can tell me their meaning?
Greetings and thanks, |

Termal zones are as such,
Thought this were 'sleep'-states of a mobile processor, not temeratures. Although cooling down would be a consequence. _________________

Well every thermal_zone directory on my computer contains the following files:
Quote: |
acerlin ~ # ls /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/TZS*
/proc/acpi/thermal_zone/TZS0:
cooling_mode polling_frequency state temperature trip_points
/proc/acpi/thermal_zone/TZS1:
cooling_mode polling_frequency state temperature trip_points
/proc/acpi/thermal_zone/TZSV:
cooling_mode polling_frequency state temperature trip_points
|
The 'temperature' file in every zone is constantly updated according to the load of my machine. As far as I can see these three temperature files correspond with measurements of three temperature sensors.
Greetings, |

If in a 'sleeping'-state the number of times these thing should/could be checked must come down
Otherwise the whole processor would 'wake-up' to often. ![Cool 8)](images/smiles/icon_cool.gif) _________________
