|
|
Basically, I try to play a video file (any file) in either ogle or gmplayer, and it gives me this error:
Code: | Xlib: extension "XVideo" missing on display ":0.0".
Sorry, Xv not supported by this X11 version/driver

The question is, how do I load xvideo in xorg.conf??? I already have in the device section:
Code: | Option "XVideo" "On"
Option "RenderAccel" "true"
Option "backingstore" "true"
Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "true"
Option "VideoOverlay" "on"
Option "OpenGLOverlay" "off"

It doesn't work with *just* xvideo 'on' or videooverlay, opengloverlay combo, or both, minus the nvidia specific stuff.. And by the way, I'm using a nvidia 6600 with nvidia-glx-1.0.8762 and nvidia-kernel-1.0.8762..
Pray tell, what do I need to do to get xvideo working on this thing? I'd prefer not to use the gl video out..
Also, I'm having another slight problem with gmplayer and extensions..
Code: | Xlib: extension "XFree86-VidModeExtension" missing on display ":0.0".
93 audio & 211 video codecs
[ws] Sorry, your system does not support the XShape extension.
Xlib: extension "XFree86-VidModeExtension" missing on display ":0.0".

Any idea how I'd get *these* loaded too?
