|
|
After updating glibc, baselayout and udev, I get an error when starting my computer:
Code: |
*net.eth0: cannot start until the runlevel boot has completed
|
It connects me jsut fine though. I just don't like the error. I thought of editing the net.eth0 script to make it depend on boot. Is that what I should do? I just add boot to the depend line correct? I'm always nervous about editing system files. |

I noticed this as well after my update today. I don't remember if any of those three packages were updated in this, but I did have a bunch of updates in /etc/init.d and /etc/conf.d, so, I would assume one of them got updated.
I had to reboot for a kernel, and I figured I had accidently put net-etho in boot or something, but I didn't (I checked). I used to have it in boot and I got that error all the time. It always started though, so it's really not a problem. See it as more of a warning, really.
I don't mind seeing it... I don't reboot very often. But, I wouldn't mind fixing it too. _________________ Desktop: ABit AN8, Athlon64 X2 4400+ 939 2.75GHz, 2x1GB Corsair XMS DDR400, 2x160GB SATA RAID-0, 2x20"W, Vista Ultimate x64

Same problem for me. And the error message breaks my fancy splash-screen |
