Salve ha Tutti...
Come dice il buon vecchio lspci... ho due schede di rete:

e fin qui nessun problema...
la Prima Eth0 e' la SiS900
mentre Eth1 e' la Realtek
io ho sempre usato la SiS9000 per il Modem (D-Link DSL-300T) e la Realtek come scheda di rete tra i due pc...
Oggi volevo provare a Usare la Realtek come scheda per il modem... (per far andare la rete in Minix) ma...
La Spia della scheda (Realtek) non si accende se non (come al solito) quando e' attaccata con l'altro pc...
In Poche parole...
Come posso far funzionare la mia scheda Realtek per far andare il modem?

questa cosa non ha senso
se non ho capito male non si accende nemmeno il led sulla scheda (è a quello che ti riferisci, vero?)
questo vuol dire che non viene rilevata nemmeno la portante del segnale, il che può voler dire due cose: scheda rotta o cado difettoso. non ce ne son molte di possibiltà |

so' anche io che non ha senso... ma e' cosi...
allora schematizziamo le cose:

Scheda Realtek collegata al vecchio PC [ funziona ]
Scheda Realtek collegata al modem [ non funziona]

L'unica cosa che non ho provato e' scambiare i cavi...
ma questo vorrebbe dire che il modem ha dei problemi con l'altro cavo...

| ma per collegare due computer si usa un cavo cross, per collegare un computer a un modem un cavo piano! per forza che devi scambiare i cavi! |

Scusate la stupidata... non avevo pensato al cavo...
Pero' adesso ho un altro problema...
devo settare eth1 all'avvio...
/etc/conf.d/net e' il seguente:

config_eth0=("10.10.10.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 10.10.10.255");
config_eth1=("dhcp");

ma ho solo /etc/init.d/net.eth0 che setta eth0...
come faccio a settare anche eth1 (adesso lo faccio a mano con dhcpcd eth1... ma ci sara' un modo stile net.eth0 o no?)
