I just downloaded and installed arklinux alpha 7; ( really great distro! fast!!!! good-looking etc.. in my opinion the best distro for newbs; only the installation sux)

here is this little application called krandrtray, which allows to change the screen resolution without logging out; I don't know of any other graphical app which would allow to do so;

on this page http://www.suse.de/us/private/products/suse_linux/i386/packages_personal/kdebase3.html it says, that krandrtray is included in kde-base 3.1.1, but i have unpackaed the sources and have run a grep -r 'krand' * and nothing was found; so i suppose that it's not there..

does anybody know how to get this app? maybe it's in kde cvs, as ark-linux uses the cvs version of kde

I know this app as kmcrandr. There's an ebuild in this thread .
You'll need to have cvs installed as well.
