This is a good idea for situations like the time Ibiblio bit the dust from a KDE release. When a major package is updated, we can provide a BitTorrent file for those without much luck with the mirrors.
I've found BitTorrent to be pretty fast, I got the 100 MB Matrix Reloaded trailer in ~5 minutes on my cable modem... it's the answer to the Slashdot effect! |
