|
|
Often, icon themes one find in such website as gnome-look or kde-look does not completely covers everything.
Since I am not in the habbit of making my own icon, I create a bogus theme called "metaicon" with an index.theme file that just list the order of inheritance:
~/.icons/metaicons/index.theme:
Code: | [Icon Theme]
Name=metaicons
Comment=My favorite icons!
DisplayDepth=32
Inherits=Neu,SnowIsh
... |
where the above listed themes can be found:
Neu: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=38835
SnowIsh:http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=32599
The question is, I noticed that the second theme in the Inherits list overtakes the first one in many occasion, such as folder icon and mimetype. Can anyone point me to how icon theme are inhered in gnome? For example, what if certain size is not found in one theme? What happen when a theme uses scalable icons like svg instead of png? Basically any info on this icon theme business is welcomed. Thanks. _________________ -----------------------------------------------------------
