Ok. I downloaded and burned the liveCD/insatall CD from linuxiso.org. I put it and boot. IT comes up and ask me to lcikc enter to boot. I do that and then it says click enter for default keyboard. I do that. Then it goes though a bunch of commans anad it get to that one. (title) and it stops there. I can leave and come back 30 mins later and it is still on that same command. I can hit enter and it takes the blinking bar down one line. Help please....

You can try "ctrl-C" which will hopefully interrupt the faulty script. But don't expect your system to work perfectly.
It may be a CD reading problem (if it keeps trying to read from your CD). Could be a bad disc, a bad drive, or possibly bad ram (but probably the CD or the drive causing a hang)
Does this happen every time? Is it possible to burn the livecd again or to try a different CD drive? |
