Here is the code:

It seems that something in glibc conflict with xorg-x11. I just updated my glibc to 2.3.6-r4.

Code:

emerge xorg-x11

Can you try this?
Code:
emerge --oneshot --nodeps xorg-server

I'm hoping that will replace those header files and allow you to build the other drivers.

Really? Oh my. What happens when you try to emerge xorg-server without --nodeps?

I have the same problem and the no dependency emerge solution presented offers no improvement - it dies on the same error message.

As a note I am downgrading from unstable xorg (xorg-server-1.0.99 in this instance) - not that it should affect this.

Are xorg and glibc out of step or what?
