Hallo,

ich nutze schon länger Gentoo, stehe aber jetzt bei einem "neuen" Rechner vor einem Problem. Es handelt sich um einen Pentium 4 mit aktiviertem Hyperthreading.

Ich habe öfters folgende Meldung im Log:

Gegooglet habe ich nach dem Fehler schon, leider fand ich nichts wirklich brauchbares oder handfestens dazu.
Es scheint aber alles normal weiter zu laufen wenn diese Meldung kommt.

Leider steigt aber manchmal Portage beim compilieren aus.
Ich habe jetzt keine genaue Fehlermeldung die ich posten kann, aber es kommt zunächst irgendwo ein Segfault und dann kommt ein Standardtext von Portage, dass man diesen Bug nicht reproduzieren kann und es wohl ein Hardware oder OS Problem sei.
Das ist schon bei mehreren Paketen aufgetreten, ein erneuter merge klappt dann aber meistens.

Speicher habe ich mit Memtest86 durchlaufen lassen, das scheint ok.
Die CPU war auch nie overclocked und im BIOS ist auch nix wildes aktiviert.
Zuvor lief der Rechner problems bei meiner Freundin mit Windows XP.

Evtl. ein Kernelproblem oder irgendwelche Unverträglich mit dem Chipsatz? Leider SiS.

Was passiert, wenn Du mal ein paar Stunden lang cpuburn laufen laesst? Temperatur von CPU und Chipsatz ist im gruenen Bereich?

Das geht schon direkt los.

Habe jetzt mal APIC und HT ausgeschaltet - damit läuft er stabil. Hat ein komplettes emerge -e world überstanden - das sollte Auslastung genug gewesen sein.

Scheinbar ein fehlerhaftes APIC vom Board - naja brauch ich nicht zwingend, hab so alles gut verteilt bekommen und HT ist auch nichts besonderes.
