|
|
Not sure when it happend, because it's been a long time since I bought a Norwegian CD but yesterday when I tried to rip it and convert it to mp3, I no longer have support for æøå in grip (I have had support for this before).
I have not changed any thing in my grip configuration (all encoding settings are set to ISO-8859-1) but I think I have upgraded Gnome since the last time I ripped a Norwegian CD...
Any pointer on how to fix this?
Regards,

Maybe stupid, but did you emerge grip with native language support? _________________ lxg.de – codebits and tech talk |

Well, not sure... But if you mean by using the USE flag nls, then yes...
The characters is properly displayed inside of grip, but the filenames on the disk is not...

And with try unicode you mean?
Another thing is that I have a problem with using unicode... All my MP3's is in iso 8859-1 and I don't want to convert it to unicode, at least not yet... Seems to be a lot of problem with unicode yet, as long as not everyone is using unicode....

Well, I'm norwegian, and I've been using unicode for 1,5 years now, without any major problems :D |
