|
|
Hey guys,
I was wondering if there is any tool to monitor the amount of network traffic through an interface between spans of time, for instance I know somewhere in /proc i can check the total amount of traffic since the interface has been up, however i'd like something more detailed, such as "amount of traffic between 7/16/06 and 7/17/06"
Any ideas?
Thanks!

hmm, you might investigate for
- cacti (my favorite, utilizes mysql+rrdtool)
- mrtg+rrdtool
- ntop (very detailed analyzis; can utilize rrdtool)
- darkstat
- vnstats
- serverstats _________________ Nothing is secure / Security is always a trade-off with usability / Do not assume anything / Trust no-one, nothing / Paranoia is your friend / Think for yourself |
