I access the network at work with a reverse SSHtunnel (port 23 locally)
Code:
-R 23:localhost:22 home.ip.add.ress

I can then bring up the system at work with ssh root@192.168.0.1 -p 23, then enter the password

Id like to use kate/kwrite/quanta running locally to edit some of the stuff on the server , but when i try to connect with knetattach it says

'Unable to connect to server. Please check your settings and try again'
but I can
Code:

paul@dads ~ $ telnet 192.168.0.1 23
Trying 192.168.0.1...
Connected to 192.168.0.1.
Escape character is '^]'.
SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_3.9p1
