Okay, so while looking for some variety out of doom I happened across this mod for Doom3: http://dungeondoom.planetdoom.gamespy.com/
It's a singleplayer mod with dynamically generated dungeons, a quest system, experience, and inventory system. Imagine Diablo from a first-person perspective with cutting edge graphics and you've got Dungeon Doom. I tinkered with it for an hour and was pretty awed by it's creativity, there is even a new feature that adds collectible card game mechanics to it. |

This is pretty fun. I finally got that fscking rose.
Maybe this can get online, like "World of Doom". It would have to be on Mars though, so "Mars of Doom"? Or maybe "Dungeon Mars of Doom Online Dungeon 3"? "--Quest?"
EDIT: It works fine on my setup: 6800 ultra w/binary drivers, AMD64, X7.0. The only thing that might prevent this from getting into protage is, for whatever reason, it never exits gracefully. It always hangs after an exit, with a message about "double seg fault, bailing out" or somesuch. |

My exits just fine. The only thing I did was edit the ebuild so the keyword was ~amd64. Didn't feel like making a package.keyword for the ~x86. |

Now I can't get it to error out at all. Oh well, for the better. And that music playing in the town? Lifted from Vampire: Masquerade, the Hollywood section. |
