I have a weird problem with a new installation of open office. Sometimes none of the applications will load but if I kill my X session it will generally fix the problem but not always.

However, when I do get the application to load if I try to do a File - Open nothing happens, it behaves the same if I hit the Open button in the toolbar.

I'm not even sure how to start troubleshooting this...any help is appreciated.

Try removing your $HOME/.ooo-2.0 directory, then start /usr/bin/ooffice2 from a terminal and see if it spits any error messages out.

No output when ran from a terminal and I did remove the directory under my home folder.
