half life troubles with wine

ive got mousegrab initialized, i set the /dev/mem to 777, but when i try to play tfc with wine, it wont take input from the mouse, i cant even start up the game

you know how theres the splash scrren that says the server motd, and then theres an ok box? the mouse wont work on that

and also, if i usethe enter button, it does go to the pick yer class screen, but wont take any input from there on, so i cant get into the game

if i play straight up half life, the player goes nuts and wont take keyboard commands

i had it working fine with slack

and winex wont even begin to login to a server on hl

i used the emerge packages on both, and used winesetuptk

what gives?

i unmerge wine and winex and installed the cvs of winex and its still doing the same thing, not starting up

this is driving me nuts.... i cant delete my slack partition till i get wine working
