Just got an athlon64 x2 and also jsut noticed that in advanced options quake 4 has a dual core setting you can enable, but for some reason it is greyed out. Is it not suppported in the tux version yet :?

also, whenever I try to start a new game in roe I get

Make sure you're running the Quake 4 executable - quake4-smp. I did argue (and provide a patch) for an smp USE flag :(

Try renaming ~/.doom3

tried removing ~/.doom3 but still get the same error

Reinstall - set the roe USE flag for doom3, and run:

emerge --unmerge doom3 doom3-roe
rm -rf /opt/doom3
emerge doom3

realized the version of doom3 i was using didn't have an roe flag, switched to unstable and turned on the roe flag, it works now. Sorry, should have noticed that. :oops:
