...das Szenario ist ganz einfach :
Mich nervt es nach dem einloggen durch XDM auf meine Arbeitsfläche 4 zu klicken, und dort 4 Eterms zu öffnen mit dem Befehl "tail -f /var/log/syslog" ( + 3 andere Logs, eine pro console).
Habt ihr eine Idee wie ich das Automatisch beim Einloggen hinkriege?
Ich will das sich beim Einloggen 4 Consolen öffnen (Eterm + Eterm Verhaltensoptionen + Befehl "Clear && tail -f /var/log/logfile1.log" ) und das alles auf Arbeitsfläche 4
Die Console so stehen zu lassen und dann mit "Save Session & Exit" zu speichern bringt nichts.
Der Effekt läuft dann darauf hinaus das mir zwar die Anzahl der Konsolen geöffnet werden, aber weder mit meinen Parametern, noch auf Arbeitsfläche 4 (landen alle auf Arbeitsfläche 1)
Hat da irgendeiner ne Lösung für mich?

kstart --desktop 1 --windowclass licq /usr/bin/licq
Startet licq auf Desktop 1.
xterm -e BEFEHL, gibts hoffentlich auch bei eterm.
So. Ansonsten kannst du noch über Spezielle Fenstereigenschaften die Größe festlegen.

ich habe zwar kein eterm, aber das sollte ja alles können, was xterm auch kann:

--> das skript beim autostart ausführen lassen

es handelt sich um XFCE4 nicht um KDE (oder bringt kstart auch bei XFCE4 was????)

Jau danke, wenn du mir jetzt noch sagst wie ich in der Bash ohne kstart (es seih denn es kommt auch mit XFCE4 zurecht, automatisch den Workspace zuweisen kann, bin ich Glücklich und du kriegst von mir den Goldenen Keks mit 725mg Koffein inhalt und Gentoo Logo drauf.
