Hey,
After fooling around with XGL, I went back to normal metacity and tried to load up Mythtv, which had been working fine before. Unfortunately, it broke for some unknown reason and now says "Unable to initialize video", and the console says maybe I don't have ivtv-fb module set up. So I did this:
rmmod ivtv
modprobe ivtv-fb
Mythtv doesn't give me an error anymore, but all I see is a black scrceen. How do I make it work with the ivtv module again? I'm using a Hauppauge 350, and video/sound both work when doing gmplayer /dev/v4l/video0. Thanks.
Here's the error:
2006-07-10 14:13:32.397 NVP: Enabling Audio
2006-07-10 14:13:32.412 IVD Error: Framebuffer number query failed.
eno: Invalid argument (22)
Did you load the ivtv-fb Linux kernel module?
2006-07-10 14:13:44.506 TV Error: StartPlayer(): NVP is not playing after 20000 msec
2006-07-10 14:13:44.630 TV Error: LiveTV not successfully started
Figured it out...I had the onboard mpeg2 decoder switched on in the TV settings in mythfrontend, but I wasn't actually using TV-out, which threw it off. |
