livecd boot on vmware problem.

i use vmware 5.5 to install gentoo 2006.0, the iso file is livecd-i686-installer-2006.0.iso.

Everything seems ok until boot gdm, problem occurs :

start X font server:
start-stop-daemon: stat /usr/X11R6/bin/xfs: No such file or directoy

/sbin/start-stop-daemon: stat /usr/X11R6/bin/xdm: No such file or directoy

Error: could not start the display manager

then the login prompt me to login, i cannot following with install gentoo anyway .

i found this question with vlos livecds. Maybe this is a bug.

did you configure you virtual machine correctly? im using vmware 5.5 too and i can boot up just fine.

read the part "Preparing Virtual Machine" ... or just read it all while you install Gentoo.
