hibernate to disk/ram causes 100% harddrive usage no wifi

I was trying to get hibernate to disk/ram to work and I followed everything in the gentoo acpi howto. My main issue is that when ever I come back from suspend to disk or ram using the gentoo-sources or the suspend2-sources(using the hibernate script or by just doing cat mem > /proc/acpi/...) When ever I come back my harddrive is being used 100% of the time, it is very slow, and I have no wireless connection(I cannt reconnect but that may be because the hardrive is beig used to much it cannt read the script). Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
