Hi All

I need to find out if I have ecc memory modules because I'm considering to run a database on this computer. I tried
Code:
hwinfo --memory
01: None 00.0: 10102 Main Memory
  [Created at memory.59]
  Unique ID: rdCR.CxwsZFjVASF
  Hardware Class: memory
  Model: "Main Memory"
  Memory Range: 0x00000000-0x7ffeffff (rw)
  Memory Size: 2 GB
  Config Status: cfg=new, avail=yes, need=no, active=unknown

but I think this output doesn't tell me anything about this particular type of information.

So, any suggestions what I should do to find this out (right now I cannot open the box, its up and running and working very hard!!)

Thnx
LuCa

What board do you have? If that is a single 2GB module, it is ECC.

You can look at your board or modules to read the label. This is a dual Opteron board? The socket 940 Opteron boards take ECC memory. I thought that the MSI Rhapsody meant it would be ECC, and I googled the Supermicro H8DA8, and the results said ECC.

Hi!
I installed my gentoo through Live CD installer and now I am trying to conigure my network eth0. But there is always problem running : SIOCSIFFLAFS Not such file or directory :-)
So if anyone can help me, please do it.
I cannot handle it via BIOS, there is no way to eit PnP options. I have 3-7 IRQs not in /proc/interrupts

Can anyone help?
