You can also mount the iso on your own box b4 burning it just to test it with: Code: | mount -t iso9660 -o loop /path/to/gentoo-i686-1.2.iso /mnt/dir |

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that when I get back to the Linux box (it is at home, I am not).
I copied the ISO onto the Mandrake box, then burned 2 bad CDs in a row.
Having the md5sums will tell me where the data has gone bad.

Additionally, you can test your burn by running:
Code: | dd if=/dev/cdrom | md5sum |
