Cluster or Grid device resource question?

I currently have three gentoo servers. I two of whch have 4port video capture boards installed. I would like to cluster the servers so all three see same V4L devices. All the chip sets on the capture boards are already in the kernel. I am looking at openmosix and openssi, both say they can share devices, but no examples. Is this possible?
