|
|
Hi there,
I was using thunderbird perfectly and AFAIK my problem started when I had to connect my laptop to another network. Now, if I try to send an email I get the message:
"An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded:
<unknown[164.41.38.5]>: Client host rejected: blocked using local system - identified
virus. Please verify that your email address is correct in your Mail preferences and try again."
I tried to change configurations but nothing worked. Does anyone know what is happening?
Thanks,
Flavio. |

Are you back on your original network now? _________________ The free market gave me gonorrhea. |

From now on I will be permanently on the network 164.41.14.***
It woks perfectly and I can send emails via webmail. The problem is specific with thunderbird+OpenPGP. Is there any thunderbird+OpenPGP file that stores information about the network (or more specific, about the smtp server)? |

Thunderbird stores the SMTP server information, you can edit it graphically or hack the user.js file by hand. I'd open a terminal and try connecting to your SMTP server manually and make sure that works (e.g. telnet YOUR_SMTP_SERVER 25) first though. Webmail isn't a very good indicator unless set up locally by you. _________________ The free market gave me gonorrhea. |
