Do you have xorg 7.1? if so this is caused by nvidia drivers which doesn't support new API in xorg 7.1
You can resolve this by downgrading to 7.0 or earlier, or by using the 'nv' dirver instead of nvidia, which of course leaves you without 3d acceleration. |
