|

I'm having a bit of an issue with some of my panel applets in gnome. My clock no longer works, as of...today it seems.
This is the error I get:
Code: |
The panel has encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:Gnome_ClockApplet". Do you want to delete the applet from your configuration? |
I'm using gnome-light, and it's up-to-date. |

The first time I emerged and logged into gnome-light I also recieved this error because I had yet to emerge the gnome-applets package (of which the clock applet belongs). My suggestion to you would therefore be to ensure that gnome-applets is not only installed but that the version of gnome-applets on your system corresponds to the version of gnome-light you are using (which may or may not have an affect). |

Thanks for the advice, but I tried that already - they are both updated, and should be working fine, according to version numbers. |

In that case I think this is your problem. According to bug #135292, re-emerging gnome-panel or running revdep-rebuild is the solution. |
