|
|
Hi!
Unfortunately I was as stupid to copy (overwrite) several libs into my /usr/lib directory instead of the actual dest-directory. After eradicating half of my hair, I realised that some applications do not want to run any more...
I still have the list of libs that I have overwritten but do not know if there is the possibility to recover the "original" libs in my /usr/lib dir.
Can somebody help me please?
Thanx,

Which files did you overwrite? Can you still emerge packages? If yes, try to find out which packages the overwritten files belonged to and re-emerge those. "equery belongs /some/file/name" allows you to find the package a file belongs to. |

I have already tried to do so, but it seemed that the affected libraries weren't changed! (md5sums were still the same after re-emerging the packages) |
