This is not a O.S. problem, is a hardware issue.
When you power off your computer, the keyboard and mouse remains on in order to allow you to power on your computer with a keyboard press.
If you don't want this feature, you can change a jumper in the mobo and when you power off the computer, then keyboard and mouse also are powered off.
Sorry for the bad english. _________________ pcmaster |

thanks for your answers.
i read a lot of stuff in differnent forums and got the answer.
it is like you said: the motherboard.
but my board (asus a8n-sli premium) has no way (there is no jumper for this) to turn this off.
it doesen`t really matters, but would be nice to have...

Unfortunately, nForce4 boards will power PS/2 devices when off no matter what you do. My advice, go USB |

Well there's something odd about your board, because my mouse doesn't stay powered when off. (A8N-E) |
