what did I do wrong? I edited that file for 30 minutes, the ftp-connection was dropped in the background (which is perfectly normal with ftp-connections) and when i was finished editing, gftp first deletes my edited temporary file and afterwards it realizes that it has no connection to the server anymore. oops.
wtf! all my changes are lost! what's the matter with that program. man, am I pissed! _________________ :wq |

Without knowing if this is a bug or by design, why can't you make your first editing command: Code: | :sav ~/gftp-view.WH9C9O.php |
That way you're working on a saved copy outside gftp's control. If you need to upload it after, you just have to change your local directory to your home and upload the edited file. |
