As you can see, the CA.pl script is unable to load the private key even though it is right there. I have followed the guide to the letter. What have I done wrong?

Don't know if you have fixed this, but I got it too, because I did the editing in CA.pl wrong first time. Solution was to

Yeah I'm having the exact same problem. I'm going to try again, but I don't think removing the demoCA dir helped.

Yes, by removing the dir, because if it's there it act differently aka not as it's question of a new cert. But of course you have to have the setting right as well
