Eve-Online without Cedega?

Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to play Eve-Online without having to pay for Cedega? Also, if I do absoiutly need to pay can anyone assure me it will work? If it helps, I do have eve installed on the windows partition; could i tap into that?

You can always try configuring WINE to run it, may take a little extra work but there's no cost. The great thing about Cedega is the use of their forums for issues with games that don't work.

Also, is Eve-online a good game? I beta'd it and got confused during startup and quit.

I've heard Wine doesn't cut it because of eve's DirectX requierments =/. Also, really wanted to avoid people ranting about hating/loving eve like the other threads I've seen, all i'll say its its changed a lot since beta

I believe you can get Cedega for free if you build it yourself from source. Get the source here.

Got it working with Wine 0.9.17 using the patches here. There are just a few graphical glitches to handle now...
