Cacti graphs showing zero [solved]

I have manged to finally get cacti running, however I have 2 problems:

I can snmpwalk the target server and see a response. I have used mrtg to get values already, but I want to migrate over to cacti with rrdtool, so I know the values are there.

First, the values poller.php is getting are all zero or nan's. I can walk or get the values, but I can't poll them. Vixie-cron is updating the rrd files in the rra directory.

Second, cactid errors out with a Warning about the SCRIPT not working.

well...I restarted vixie-cron after re-editing crontab and values started filling up.
